Othello’s began in 1977 in the same location as today. This restaurant started by Pasqual Benso has been a Norman landmark on Campus Corner and is famous for many reasons including the authentic Italian recipes, affordable prices, and the historic Table of Truth made famous by Barry Switzer, legendary football coach at the University of Oklahoma.

In the year 2000, a second location opened in Edmond, Oklahoma with the same great original recipes from Norman. The Edmond location is located in Downtown Edmond in the same building that housed Edmond's first hospital and a movie theater. This historic location proved to be an excellent choice for the second location.

On April 29, 2017, our Norman location sustained heavy fire damage due to a lightning strike. We re-opened our doors in Norman in September of 2018 after a lengthy rebuilding process.
